Creaking sounds are normal for pergolas, as materials occasionally expand or contract due to temperature changes. However, there are steps you can take to reduce or eliminate the noise:
1. Check the Connecting Assembly
- Ensure the motor arm is securely fastened to the beam.
2. Tighten the Bolt
- Locate the bolt (circled in red in the diagram provided in the manual) and tighten it to prevent unnecessary movement.
3. Lubricate Moving Parts
- Apply lubricant to moving parts, especially where the louvres connect to the guide rail.
4. Use Silicone Sealant
- Apply silicone sealant at the joints to minimise noise caused by material movement.
