To securely attach the wall brackets of your pergola in the wall-mounted version, simply follow this step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Mark the Bracket Positions
Measure and mark the positions for the wall brackets, maintaining a distance of 900mm between brackets.
Ensure the brackets are perfectly level to guarantee precise installation.
Step 2: Drill the Holes
Drill pilot holes at the marked positions using a 9mm drill bit for both the upper and lower holes.
For the upper hole, a 9mm drill bit is sufficient for the width. The length of the hole adapts to the 12mm long slot on the bracket, so you do not need to change the drill size; the 9mm bit ensures the correct fit.
For masonry walls, please use a hammer drill to create clean holes.
Step 3: Insert Wall Anchors (if required)
For masonry walls, insert wall plugs or expansion anchors into the drilled holes before installing the screws.
Step 4: Mount the Brackets
Attach the brackets to the wall using steel screws sized 8–9mm. Tighten the screws so the brackets sit firmly against the wall, but avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the wall or brackets.
The elongated upper hole allows slight adjustments in positioning to ensure a good fit against the wall.
Step 5: Attach the Pergola Beam
Once the brackets are installed, hang the wall beam onto the brackets. Please sure the beam is level before securing it further.
Step 6: Check Stability
Before fully tightening the screws, check the alignment and ensure the beam is level and securely fastened.
